1950

Angelo Tosetto, Fabbrica di Lampadari was founded.

Angelo Tosetto was established in 1950 in Venice, Italy. A major Italian glass producer. The company specializes in traditional artisanal lighting handcrafted from the world-renowned Venetian Murano glass. The founder’s passion for glass craftsmanship drove the growth of the company and the constant breakthroughs in technological research.

1997

Andrea Tosetto, one of the three siblings,takes over the company, renames it Studio Italia Design.

The successor owner of Andrea Tosetto, joined the family business at the age of 18 and soon took over the company. Educated at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, where he continues to design lamps for the company, In 1997 Andrea changed the name of the company to “Studio Italia Design”. The company’s product line shifted from an early focus on classical styles to innovative and modern styles. Since 1950 the finest materials have been used by Angelo Tosetto, such as hand-blown glass diffusers from the Venetian island of Murano, combined with stainless steel, brass, and aluminum, and finished with a variety of decorative surfaces. Andrea has also upgraded the artisanal production system, an accumulation of experience and know-how that blends fine craftsmanship with modern design.

Italian Style Lighting

Based on a rigorous traditional manufacturing process with its production site, Andrea combines high-quality local Venetian materials to create unique lighting products. He have demonstrated the highest standards of quality and design, embodying the prestigious image of “Made in Italy”. His energetic entrepreneurial style and active creativity have led the company to become one of Italy’s top professional lighting designers and manufacturers. The company continues to serve the world’s leading architects, engineers, and designers. Studio Italia Design’s products are sold in more than 90 countries through a wide range of competent and reliable partners.

2013

Massimiliano Tosetto is appointed General Manager of Studio Italia Design.

Massimiliano Tosetto, the third-successor director. He became a General Manager of Studio Italia Design in 2013. In 2020  Studio Italia Design celebrated its 70th anniversary, Massimiliano had three big announcements to make; changing the brand name to “LODES”!, appointing Luca Nichetto – a Venetian and internationally awarded designer – as the brand’s curator. And inviting Patrick Norguet and Marco Dessi to work together on the development of the brand’s new products for 2020 and 2021. This milestone was a beginning of a new generation of design and innovation, it represents the brand’s new approach to manufacturing innovation and contemporary design.LODES is deeply rooted in R&D and manufacturing techniques that have evolved over the time. Working with several modern, internationally renowned designers, LODES has been able to create lighting products that combine craftsmanship, technology, flexibility, and value to create customized living environments.

Easy Peasy is the Interior Design Best of 2020 winner in the Table Lamps category

We’re delighted to announce we have been selected among the winners of the Interior Design Magazine 2020 Best of Year Awards, with our Easy Peasy table lamp by Luca Nichetto.

2021

New 2021 Lodes collections with three celebrated designers

Lodes, the long-established Italian contemporary lighting brand,has unveiled the latest products within its 2021collection with the addition of three the new products. The JIM suspension lamp by multidisciplinary French designer Patrick Norguet, the Aile wall lamp by renowned Italian designer Luca Nichetto, and the Cima suspended lamp by Vienna-based Marco Dessí will all join the brand’s existing portfolio of contemporary lighting.
